I have a large plastic/rubber pot, it's black, about 2ft across and about that tall. I punctured some drain holes in the bottom and filled it with a mixture of mulch/compost, garden soil and potting soil. I'd like to grow a large hosta in this and have it come back every year. I was thinking Blue Angel, does anyone have luck with this one? I know it gets very large, will the pot I have support that size? What do I do with it in the winter? I am putting it under a hemlock tree, I can't get a thing, even weeds to grow under it, so I want to try the pot.
