We only have Baltimore Orioles here. Or at least that is all I have ever seen.

I never see the Orioles until my Trumpet vine is blooming. Then they are at it like the hummingbirds. The orioles poke a hole at the base of the trumpet flower and get the nectar that way. They're smart.

Sadly the Orioles don't stay here, Sad I just see them during migration when they are on their way to the warmer fruit growing areas.

The orioles nest in a big (and I mean big) old oak tree that is actually in my neighbors yard. But branches hang over my yard. So I can see the nest each year as they build it. See the orioles visiting the yard often. Beautiful birds.

The 80+ temps have made some plants pop. Too warm for me though

Beautiful Sandy! My Hostas are just starting to come up. Whistling

All of the seedlings from the seed you sent me made it through our tough winter, most are looking great, a couple of slow ones. I don't expect any bloom from them this year.

My oh my, the more photos I take the more overwhelmed I get with seeing just how much I have to do in the gardens. Regardless, here's a few for you to see

Please ignore the newspaper etc, just wanted to show you how crazy loaded with blooms this Miss Kim lilac is this year!

Alongside the dog kennel, I plan to put cedar lattice over the chain link to help disguise it

Lastly, a pretty iris growing alongside my small garden pond. I don't remember planting it here

Love that beautiful peony!

BTW, what are those things hanging above the hosta there?

You like old water pumps don't you? I don't have any big ones like you but do have an inside dry sink one (top) that sits on the side door step! Saw a red one out in Mn a couple of years ago and soooo wanted to bring it back home!

There is a neighborhood I occasionally commute through and about 4 houses in a row have water pumps in the front yard. I don't know what the 'backstory' is but I enjoy seeing them.

We were blessed with almost two inches of rain last night. Much needed and the plants really appreciated it!
