The Actaea (Cimcifuga racemosa) is just coming into bud and will, hopefully soon be awash with Red Admiral butterflies. In the background the Ligularia 'Desdemona' shines out on a dull day. I have enjoyed it's bold foliage and now the flowers stand up like flaming torches - the seed heads are interesting too!
