Aha! I see that there are people here who are growing Ninebark. I have a couple of Ninebark "Coppertina" that I want to plant and I'm finding conflicting info regarding deer resistance...some state that it's deer resistant, others say deer food...lol..

I've been planting only known deer resistant plants, but was given a couple of Coppertinas and, obviously, I'm hoping that mine will be the ones the deer won't want. I was also given a few "Arctic Fire" cornus and I see that the deer have nibbled them...

Has anyone hads experience with this either way?
TIA
Sherry

I have quite a few different physocarpus, and no damage from anything, ever. I love them, the dark leaves, and pink or white flowers. Mine are just getting ready to bloom.

lol...oh, Polly....I just got up and was decided go out and dig them back up...now I think I will leave them alone....

I was also given 3 Arctic Fire cornus, which I figured would be in danger also, but they've been found once and only nibbled, not destroyed, so I'll leave them all and see what happens. Maybe the deer will eat my neighbors roses instead.

In my climate the best long lived tree that blooms in the Fall is the old Rose of Sharon.
