I'm fairly certain this NOID is 'Proteus,' Chelle.

Clematis 'Proteus'

Does anyone disagree? If not, would you like me to move it or do you want to move it yourself?

That's the closest match I've been able to find too, Zuzu; however, I could swear that the blooms on mine are between 8 and 9" across. Could it still be Proteus? I actually bought a Proteus last year, just to be able to compare them. It's not blooming yet, of course.

Nope, the database entry is wrong. A bunch of sources say the Proteus bloom is 6-8 inches across, so I'll change the data in the database and we'll just assume your gardening prowess accounts for your 9-inch blooms.

Terrific! And thanks for making me look harder at the entry. Now it's correct.
