I had looked at this "ugly" little cactus at a favorite nursery for several months but never bought it. A few days ago when I went there it was ready to bloom so I brought it home.

Unfortunately it wasn't labeled and I'm not smart enough to know what it is. Any suggestion would be welcome.

That species is actually not in the database; dirtdigger or Paul, why not add it and then attach the picture?

I thought it might be a Gymnocalycium but that would have been a big guess on my part. Thanks to both of you for the help.
