We got a hova-bator w/turner and will load it with 3 dozen eggs tomorrow. I may even sell some day old chicks locally. We are also going to grow out French Freedom rangers and Delaware/ranger cross breeds for the freezer. The Delaware/ranger pullets make great egg birds too.

I love Delawares and had been hoping to add some pullets to my flock, but the local hatcheries were all back-ordered. Please post pictures when yours hatch.

Just hatched out 21 out of 24 eggs this weekend. Mostly Blue Laced Red Wyandottes, and a hand full of mixed breed. They are so fun. Last year I ordered 24 of the BLR's from Foley's, I got 25, 5 hens, and 20 roosters! (Not too good at $10 each) So this year I'll see if I can get a few more of the hens. They are so pretty.
Politicians are like diapers, they need to be changed often, and for the same reason.

The Delaware chickens did not do as advertised. Not friendly dual purpose birds. The freedom rangers did do great this year.
