Bree, isn't that the truth!
Especially the cristated Opuntia microdasys aurispina, pieces break off and grow in other pots ( I let them) so I have them growing everywhere. The spines are particularly nasty because they are so numerous and short. Don't ever make the mistake of putting your finger into your mouth in the hope of gently pulling them out with your teeth Thumbs down ...

Uh oh do they stab your tongue? I once tried to peel a prickly pear and eat it-big mistake, couldn't get all of the spines off!
When I lived in AZ, taking pics was like risking your life. All you had to do was take one step backwards and bam-o, your entire side was covered with jumping cholla sections. Folks carried combs to pull them out of their skin-OUCH!

Prickly tongue! Hilarious! yes!

And always use a towel to move large Cacti, or your skin might be holding them up!

It seems like a good idea to show what happens to the greenhouse roof when we get a major snowstorm. It takes about 2 days for most of the snow to melt and slide off simultaneously. I was very happy when this huge, heavy ca. 1 foot wide snow-slide missed the rain gutter, since it will bent it to the point that we need a new one every few years. ( this rain-gutter is routed at the back of the house into the garage for water collection) The accompanying loud clonk makes me jump every time, especially if I happened to be in the greenhouse.

I remember living in Virginia when the snow sitting in the gutter would freeze at night, push up the roof and drip inside the wall. Then I would have to cut out the wet insulation and wall board and repair everything. I don't yearn for those days anew.

I know it well too!
We have heater cables in all North-facing gutters to prevent that from happening. ( again....) One year coming back from a skiing vacation, I found the resulting water dripping from a downstairs back room ceiling ..... What a job to repair that.
The gutter on the greenhouse also has a heater cable installed, so that water doesn't refreeze before it hits the vessels in the garage.
