Hello --
I am looking for one or two very chartreuse, long-blooming daylilies. What do ya'll think of CARONDELET, TWO BIRDS, and WYNN?

Also, what is the darkest purple daylily anyone can recommend? I'm talking inky purple, if that exists.

Thanks in advance.
Tee

Chartreuse?

Are you thinking green yellow, or really chartreuse? I know green yellow (Gulf Stream) but not what I call chartreuse.

Darkest?

I know ... everyone's color perception differs a bit, it seems. Chartreuse to me is half-way between green and yellow. I'm looking for as chartreuse or green-yellow as I can find ... with the emphasis on the green. Not yellow-green but green-yellow, if that makes sense.

Thanks for the recommendations, by the way. I really like that 'Black Ice'.

I don't know of chartreuse either.

Sleepy Hollow, Chief Blackhand and Africa are the three darkest I have grown. Sleepy Hollow is a really nice plant too.

Thanks.

I just found one called 'Chartreuse Triangle' but no photo. Glare I think I'll go with 'Carondelet'. It's about the closest I've found.

I really like that 'Chief Blackhand' as well.

I went to the AHS website and looked up "Carondelet" and it just looks yellow to me.

You could try green throated creams (which are really a form of light yellow).

I tip my hat to you. Like that last one a lot. It's so hard to tell with all the different growing and light conditions.

Does anyone know about this site? Reputable?

Thanks, ya'll.

Lyle, that 'Larry's Obsession' has it all ... deep purple, green throat, ruffled edges. That's killer ... in a good way. Thumbs up 'Midnight in Marrakesh' is equally as beautiful.

Oh, that 'Emerald Enchantment' is a beauty too, Cindy ... both of them you pictured are lovely. And thank you for verifying that website. I tip my hat to you. (I have a kitty just like that.)

Off to order some, I think. Green Grin!
