Looking at the store stampedes on TV, I think we need Black Friday for Orchid Shoppers!

I hope everyone had a wonderful day yesterday, with friends, family and good food! I had 16 over for dinner with 6
family spending the night...9 if you count the 3 Labs that travel with them! In the craziness of the day this opened..

It snowed!

And a complete surprise!! Catt. Chocolate Drop 'Volcano Queen' is blooming away and I didn't even see the buds forming!! Can you believe I wouldn't notice it???

We came back from Pennsy after getting the house ready for the hunters. We had "snowfloaties" up in the Poconos and there was a really nasty chill in the air, certainly not good to have a picnic at the pond, sigh.

Coming home, aren't you glad we have our Orchids to enjoy when there is snow on the ground? The Volcano Queen is just gorgeous!! Gotta love the Scaphosepalum rapax.

Everyone here is trying to pretend it's not becoming winter. The snow mostly melted today but I think I'll get my snow tires on this week....

The Paph Pedro's Moon 'Perky' HCC/AOS had just opened for Kathy's visit on Friday.
