I bought this last year in a little 4" pot. It's getting huge!

That's great, Pippi.

It has been raining all day here. We must have gotten a couple of inches. I wanted to plant tomorrow, but my clay soil will be too wet.

Some sneaks thru .There is another prop on the other side ,I have Iris there that I dont want smothered.
I didnt realize how high WalkersLow was. The name fools. I read somewhere the name has nothing to do with how high the plant gets.Thats when I began to read lables more carefully.
I love the plant but its too big to move.

Are you able to divide it?
I will keep this in mind because I was thinking about buying one. Do you think they should call it Walkers High? Hilarious!
It would probably be easier to just move the other stuff since they are smaller. Lesson learned, it is beautiful it will just need some space.

No digging or moving for me. I'm too old. Plants will have to make it on their own.

It's named for a garden in UK where it was found.

I allowed a lot of space for mine, as I knew it would be BIG. But I didn't expect it to go from a 4" pot to filling this huge spot in a year! I need to get a new picture.

I planted mine in front of a pink grootendorst rose and there is a decorative wire fence in front of walker's low so it is pretty well supported. The rose has lots of thorns and the nepeta helps keep the weeds from growing there so little weeding is needed. The rose sometimes gets kind of leggy which the nepeta camouflages making it looks nice. I still cut the nepeta back by about half later in the season with a pruning shears. By the way the walker's low has been in my garden at least ten years so it is a long lived plant.
If you want to be happy for a lifetime plant a garden!

I can't wait to try the new one 'Junior Walker.' They claim it's one third the size.
