Can anybody put a botannical name on it so I can hunt it down?
The person who took the picture said it was a "widow's tears", so all I know so for is that it is tradescantia.

Yes, but WHICH ONE???
I have several shades of the ones that pop up around here (resemble 'Sweet Kate' in size and structure, but less dramatic greenery), but I have never seen anything like that huge blue one!
