nodding Rolling on the floor laughing for years I have had friends try to convince me to start in the front of my house and I refuse , I can't keep up with what I have in the back yard now and it keeps expanding and growing. I had 2 truck loads of compost delivered late fall about 32 tons that was supposed be spread out and tilled in for the new seedlings this spring and it cold to fast, so I didn't get to it will end up being April's project so Thanks guys Big Grin but there is plenty of work here. We will have to enjoy Mary Ann's Iris lane Hilarious!

Funny how you translated cubit ft deliveries of compost to tons. Moving cubit ft of material sounds easier than moving tons of material. Either way it looks tough. My back is already hurting!

Our main iris beds are spread out in the old pony paddock. the beds closer to the house have been shaded out. DH carries my kneeler out for me & then I can drag it between most of the beds. I can't work without it. I turn it over & sit when I have to rest. Only have one photo of a bed & that is on a slide. I have only taken and individual plant although there I a few clump photos. I will try this one.

Greg Big Grin a lot more there than it looks, I will have to till it all in by hand, but I have a friend with a smaller Bobcat that will make quick work of those piles.

Joann compost is awesome, I have better luck with it than anything else.

Lucy Sunsprite is beautiful and that is a good clump picture.

Mary Ann I am looking forward to seeing updated pictures of Iris lane this spring Smiling
