Looks like some I use to have and they self sow freely, No one could believe it but they were poping up everywhere. If the conditions are right they will spring into action. Hilarious!

I have two that I grew from seeds a couple of years ago. This is the first time
they went and did it on their own Smiling

Now cant wait to see what they become Lovey dubby More babies to move to RI LOL

The pic shows plants that are returning not just sprouting this spring. So they are atleast from last spring or before.

We affectionatly call hosta volunteers "Weedlings" Smiling

You might have a rhizomatous hosta there - what variety is it? And do the little plants match the parent?

Shannon -- I have one of those too.

I have three of these "babies" ... they have to be a few yrs old, though i never really noticed them until last year when one was blooming.

the nearest plant is Golden Tiara, though Fire & Ice was there along with Winsome, both of them have been moved to Wisc.

They are a really nice deep green with "thick-ish" leaves.
