Yep. This is why I ALWAYS wear tennis shoes whenever I go near my Cactus/Succulent/Native/Drought Tolerant bed.

BTW, I still got attacked by these things trying to get them off. Probably the billionth time I've been stabbed by a Cactus.

Getting one of those stuck on my toe and my flip flop cured me of wearing them outside!

Funny thing is, getting pricked by a cactus doesn't hurt as much as it used to. I guess I've gotten used to it.

I've noticed that some cacti spines hurt much worse than others. I have no idea why that is. Some almost feel like they are poisoned.

Cholla spines are evil.

I'd also go as far as to say that glochids are worse than spines.

I have one cactus (I can't remember which one), it feels like a bee sting an hour after it pokes me. I'm not a fan of glochids either (well, I guess who would be a fan ). I only have one Optunia, but repotting it consisted of me hopping about trying to not get a finger or two full of tiny spines.
