Grandchildren are my greatest joy.
I spotted this blooming heavily in a neighborhood garden. You can barely see the foliage for the bloom. It is an early spring bloomer here. Any idea?

I think it's a type of Broom, though it's difficult to tell which one.
Does it have a nice fragrance?
