Dave,

Ok, I'm just kidding about the subject, and I could live with this, but you have spoiled us and so it seems natural to mention anything that is not a walk in the park like the rest of this forum.

What causes some threads to be wider than my monitor screen? On some threads, every line of text runs off-screen for me and I have to scroll back and forth horizontally to read each post. Here is an example: The thread "when or should I re pot gang pots??" in Plumeria forum. I have to horizontally scroll back and forth to read each and every line of the post. Ugh. Is it because it contains four photos? That seems to be what is driving the width.

I realize that not everyone may be experiencing this. It may be my hardware and/or screen resolution (?). If this info would be helpful, I have a flat-screen monitor, but not a wide-screen monitor. My resolution is set at 1024 x 768.

As always, thanks for your time!
Carol

You are exactly right that it was the 4 pictures side by side that was the culprit.
It also happens when someone does a huge line of ellipses, or a run-on sentence without spaces. Contacting the moderator of that forum, or us if there isn't a mod, is the only solution. It only takes a second to edit the post and fix whatever is causing the problem.

I'm with you- scrolling to the side drives me batty. Thankfully, there are so few things that cause it to happen on ATP that we don't see it very often!
