We came from http://cubits.org/orchids/thre...

My Calanthe sieboldii Takane Hybrids opened yesterday! Here in sun and shade. It is a touch more pinky brown than this.

Ken, I like the Paph Susan Booth very much, including the interesting size comparisons.

Kathy, it is really nice to see your Takane opening, it looks wonderful. I have to look for another source to purchase one, my Takane was eaten by a large slug in in that wet Spring of 2009. (Asiatica went out of business, unfortunately.) The Kozu survived it.

Interesting Max! Thumbs up

Ken, very nice Susan Booth.

Thanks.
Kathy, I didn't get a good picture of Den tetragonum this time, but you are right, the square stems certainly add to the charm.
I took the Lycaste inside, but I haven't smelled it yet. I think I remember it scented last time.

I still haven't moved any and several times I was glad (certainly today and the two weeks straight of rain). Maybe I'll move cyms out tomorrow.

Our air conditioner is still not fixed, and it was 95 degr F outside today. My plants would be toast by now after a week of this, despite the shade cloth.
