I didn't exercise per se, but I kept busy all day
- did one load of laundry
-went to the drugstore for prescriptions
-went to a couple of other local stores for stocking stuffers
- went to Best Buy and bought a new phone.

The day went fast.

Had a good workout on Friday, yesterday we put up the tree, but didn't finish it. Today I changed the bed, did the laundry and finished the tree.

Karen, is your son going to visit for Christmas??

Yes, he'll be home for 5 days. Will your kids get home, Margaret?

I have to say, I'm looking forward to the lengthening of the days. Even though it's not noticeable for weeks, just the knowledge that we're moving in the right direction seems uplifting once we pass the solstice (which will be on Friday, the day my son arrives). So, I have mental "uppers" that day.

That's great Karen. No, sadly my kids won't be home, the drive over the mountainous roads are just too dangerous this time of year. The weather is so bad that there is even a reality TV show called 'Highway Thru Hell ' following the tow trucks that have to clean up after the many accidents, the wrecks are unbelievable. Blinking

Awww... that's too bad. Sad We've been fortunate that our son has always made it home for Christmas. We don't see him often because he's so far away, so that makes visits that much more special.

I've have often wondered how Canadians survive winter! I find it tough even in Ohio.

I don't think our winters are that bad because we are only 3/4 hours away from the coast, near Kamloops which is a semi desert area and can have a lot of lovely sunny days during the winter, the problem is the high mountains in between. Love the spring link. Thumbs up

Canadians indulge in winter sports. I'm hoping we have enough snow this season to be able to get in some good snowshoeing. That last couple winters have been busts for that.

Bells played yesterday morning at church and again in the afternoon at a concert. We were at church at 8:15 am and started warming up at 8:30. Ran through all three selections for the afternoon concert but not the closing number because that would require moving bells around and I didn't want to risk not getting them back where they belonged. I got home about 5 pm and was out the door at 6:15 for an orchestra rehearsal in the evening.

This morning, we mall-walked but this week we are starting 15 minutes earlier as the malls are getting very busy, even as the stores are opening.

Some pictures from yesterday - the first two from our service in the morning. The last two from the concert. We borrowed the chime rack from another church as we don't yet have our own. At the concert, two of my ringers left to help out another group at a later concert after my group finished playing. That left a couple of bells for me to play in the finale which was massed choirs with bells.

I went to the gym this morning. Have been so busy with the Christmas routines, I haven't been getting there often. I think the last time I went was on Saturday. I won't get there tomorrow either, as I have 3 appointments! D'Oh!

The weather has been pretty good here, went out to give the birds some unfrozen water yesterday morning and it was so nice, sunny and about 40 or so, I stayed out and cleaned up all the small broken branches and twigs from the willow, we have had a lot of wind so there was a lot of them. Sat a few times to soak up some sun. Karen, we do have our good weather days. Big Grin In the afternoon I did my exercise.

Today I did lots of housework, and exercised this afternoon.

I didn't exercise, but I sure didn't sit much today. By 10:30 this morning I had been to Best Buy (to pick up my new phone), Panera, another local bakery too, and the local butcher. After lunch I did the grocery shopping. I'm exhausted!

We went to Cambria for a few days (central California coast). We walked a fair amount, including some cardio and I didn't eat as abysmally awful as I could have.

I didn't exercise yesterday but was busy all day, had groceries to put away, and a full pork loin from Costco to slice into chops.

We had a crazy wind storm all across BC yesterday, lost power at abut 5: pm and didn't get it back until 9:30, good thing we have 2 gas fireplaces so we weren't cold. We had also just bought 2 new LED lights, well they turned out to be great, you can stand them on a table, or hang then on whatever, and it is also a flashlight. https://www.google.com/aclk?sa... Instead of having a couple of the pork chops we ended up having ham and cheese sandwiches. Glare
