A friend sent me a wonderful, early Christmas gift of 2 large, old orchid tomes she found. I was wondering if the information in them still applies. Has orchid culture evolved/changed alot in recent years?
The books are :
Home Orchid Growing (Third Ed.) .........by Rebecca Tyson Northern, and
The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Orchids........... edited by Alec Pridgeon Foreword by Alasdair Morrison, Chair. of Orchid Comm, Royal Hort Society.
They are beautifully illustrated.

They are both excellent books. Everyone should have the Home Orchid Growing! I still pull it out every so often.

I have them both!
