As a companion to Pistil's first mowing thread, thought it might be fun to see how long folks run their mowers. We just mowed yesterday, and with the expected damp weather expected this may be one of our last few times (other than mowing to pick up/shred leaves).
I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.

I mowed The exact same day. I expect another 1-2 mowings left.

I always find it difficult to track the 'last' of anything. I did note that my killing frost was in early November, so my guess is last mow was sometime toward mid to late October. We haven't had too much freezing weather this year. We did have a cold snap in early December, which often brings about river otters in our farm pond. I have to wonder how often they cruise through when the pond is not frozen - although it sure is entertaining to watch them cavort on the ice. Usually it's a pair, sometimes three.
