Lilylady, sempervivums continue to change color throughout the growing season. Some will stay mostly green and some mostly red, but some change drastically.

Here is 'Cherry Frost' and the changes it goes through.

Love all the different looks of Sempervivum 'Fuego'.

I mix chicken grit and perlite with my soil when I plant in the garden. They like really good drainage. And I top my semp containers with chicken grit too.

I buy the chicken grit in 50 lb bags from out local farm & feed store.

After being gone from home for a month, I had an awesome day yesterday weeding the largest semp bed and admiring the beautiful colors each variety is showing right now.
Affine, such a wonderful tiny semp.


All weed free again. One down 5 more to go. Then I get to start on the perennial borders.


I know this one looks big, but it is a very diminutive semp of maybe 1 inch across the mature rosette. I love the color of it in the spring time.

Othello has impressive size and color. Please excuse the marks on the leaves, we had quite a hail storm here, they left their calling cards.


How about something soft and velvety feeling? Here is Pacific Magic Night. I just love this one.

Can't forget the little rollers: Jovibarba f/Col De Turini. The tiny offsets break away from the rosette and roll away, rooting wherever they land.

Just getting here! How do I buy tickets, or maybe a ticket. acorns are scarce. You all know I love everyone I see and if I had the acorns, you wouldn't have a chance...I would give up everyone!

Titania is my favorite Lynn. But they're all pretty. Can't believe that little guy is just 1" across!
