Woo hoo, way to go Tara. I guess I need to stop complaining about the big Angreacum now. It has put up a second spike, and the first is looking really great. Just hope it holds off to bloom until closer to the holidays. A picture of that bloom would make a nice holiday greeting.

The timing may just be fine for Christmas, especially the larger spike.

Have put little Barbosella australis outside the growcamp, letting it hang by the succulent baskets so it can enjoy the rains lately..and saw this one lone bud forming yey! Hope it matures some more!

And this Dendrobium Princess x Gold Star 'Orange Royal' hasn't set this many buds since 2009. In 2009, it was almost pulled for AOS judging with 50 buds. I have counted about 75 so far on this year. I almost gave this plant away, but at the last moment I decided to keep it.

My Cattleya [C.] deckeri, which has mysteriously morphed into Gur. skinneri through no fault of her own, is outdoing herself this year. I count at least 19 buds on her and this is not a large plant. You go girl! Thumbs up Thumbs up

Okay, I am sooooooooo excited. I didn't want to say anything until I confirmed with a flashlight what I saw growing. My Phal schilleriana and equestris both have spikes!! I grew these from seedlings and this will be the first bloom for the schilleriana and 2nd bloom for the equestris.

But the best news EVER is that I am pretty sure that I have spikes on my Paraphalaenopsis labukensis and serpentilingua. I grew the serpentilingua from a seedling (I've had it 5 years). The labukensis was rehabbed from an orchid garage sale this past summer. It was really dehydrated and I thought it might die. Hurray! Hurray!
