Dot yes it was Joe's Ghios and it was Nice one of my favorites from the trip very unique color like all Joes flowers.

Betty yes I met Joe and we went to the regional and got to tour his gardens and I couldnt say enough good things about him and the rest of the gardens on the tour very very nice people and amazing the beauty and how well kept and organized it was we also went to Superstitions and Napa gardens and walked there beds it was a great weekend I took a lot of pictures so I could remember what all I seen but we were early, there probably full bloom this week so I think we caught it at maybe 50% but found quite a bit of the newer intros I was looking for and learned a lot it was really nice to see what is coming down the horizon in the future.

It must have been fun meeting these guys and seeing their blooms. I have Recless Abandon, and it's sending up a nice bloom stem. I have Tunnel Vision too, I don't think it will bloom this year, but it must have 10 or more increases already. I really want Luxuriant Lothario, and had ordered it last year, but it was out of stock. I'm going to order it this year again. Aruba, you took some reallly great pictures! How many did you order!

Tom it was great meeting them all they were all very kind and I could tell they really enjoyed the flowers like the rest of us I did not get the impression it was work they were having fun going through the seedlings I wish I would have had a couple more days there, but mine are starting to open so Im excited to see what some of these look like up close. I have not ordered yet Im still going through everything I saw out there and getting a list together but all those Ghio ones were spectactular, and Supestition had a new one called Island Breeze that was really nice it goes through about 3 color changes also there is one that had the same pattern as Luxuriant Lothario that is really nice too I think it is a Sutton flower. Ill post some pics of it soon

Sue I loved there place it was beautiful and well kept we got there to early they didnt have hardly anything open at the time they should be peak bloom early next week you will be in for a show if you go what amazed me when I got there was how well cared for there beds were and organized I kind of figured that they had a full team helping them but after visiting with them its just the two of them that take care of it and they do a great job also they had a lot of pots for sale I looked through there and wished I lived a little closer I would have been going home with quite a few I have a few pictures of some of there newer ones There is one called Mad World that I am planning on getting I saw it in all 3 gardens and it looked great everywhere. Superstitions would be well worth the trip too there beds should be in peak bloom as well this coming week and they carried a huge variety of Iris they were both great people and there beds were pristine I couldnt find a weed anywhere and the trip by Yosemite was really nice I would recomend both gardens.

Mad World
