Leslie, I'm wouldn't know where to begin to know what makes it do that. We haven't used any kind of chemicals for growth or anything. Here is what is in the bed it's planted in. The soil is pine bark and sand which has broken down over time into a nice rich soil. When the daylilies are planted what is added is chicken litter (the already processed kind), milorganite, alfalfa pellets, and slow release fertilzer. It is also top dressed with it as well. They are fertilized every 2-3 weeks with the water soluable Miracle Grow. Nothing else has been done or used on the daylilies.
Betty, I like it that way as well. That's the only reason I even tried to use the pollen because I already have enough other pollen to use without adding to my arsenal
I figured I'd try it to see what I got out of it especially on TET LAVENDER BLUE BABY because it shows the cristating traits sometimes. It's a nice daylily the other way also, I like the size of the bloom.
Leslie, love Kay Day
Debra, Your NOID is beautiful.
