Thread OP

I got a fiddle leaf fig a few months ago, and so far it seems to be thriving! It grew 5 new leaves that are a lot bigger than it's other leaves, making it a little top heavy. I'm wondering it it might be possible to start clipping off a few of the small leaves at the very bottom of the plant to eventually give it more of a "tree" appearance vs. a bush. I'm just not sure how many leaves I could clip at a time without harming the tree, or if clipping any leaves at all would harm it. Any thoughts?

You can definitely remove lower leaves as many lower leaves as you want without harm to the plant. However, that will not lead to branching anywhere else. This is a plant that does not branch readily. Sometimes, if you prune off the top growth, that will encourage two stems to grow in at that point, but not always. It is a crap shoot. If you are trying to develop a branching tree-like form that you see elsewhere, it is not going to happen with yours.

Otherwise, your FLF looks healthy and well cared for!
