My biggest, oldest house plant is in the 2nd pix. Pony tail palm.
9 foot tall now, over 75 years old. Things grow slower in Wisconsin.

@gasrocks wow nice palm and quite a variety. Seymour has never lived outside but buy a window though. Now that we've moved her, there is an explosion of new fronds up top. Wish I had a green house.. I've lived in Florida too, there I enjoy outdoor gardening more.

I have a lot of different plants. I don't even know the exact amount. And I hope that I will not get such a choice. But still it would be Murraya.

I planted the seeds of these plants a year ago. They grow slowly and are still in seedling pots. But they have bloomed several times already. They bloom constantly. Even one flower makes a fragrance for my entire kitchen. Then there are useful berries and flowers at the same time. I really like!

I hope you can buy a good Murraya in your garden centers. Here we can buy in the store only the Dutch Murraya paniculata. Like seeds. It does not bloom for a very long time.
Therefore, we ourselves distribute our seeds among gardeners. Perhaps this is some sort of mini. But our "home" Murraya blooms very quickly. Therefore, it is better to look for a mini variety, I think. Smiling

I find only seeds available. It would seem the plant cannot be sold to Texas as it can carry a citrus disease. I haven't found anyone here that is selling the plant. Apparently they seed freely. Are they difficult to start from seed @GreenTara18?

Fresh seeds germinate very quickly. Even a berry can fall to the ground and start growing. Older seeds germinate worse.
The problem is that these can be non-mini seeds in a regular garden center.

By the way, Murraya was grown in Japan only at the emperor's palace. Commoners were forbidden to grow it on pain of death penalty. The volatile substances released during the flowering of Murraya are healing: they have a beneficial effect on the work of the heart, activate breathing, and normalize sleep. Therefore, the scent of flowers is useful for angina.

Berries also contain vitamins. It is useful to eat at least one berry per day. Smiling

I can see why it would be the one plant you would select to keep.

If I absolutely had to pick just one...probably the hoya from my grandmother and her grandmother and hers...

I didn't know there was a mini Murraya--
mine just came in from summer vacation and bloomed up a heavenly storm Lovey dubby

It's about a 3x2' shrub and I've had it about 20 yrs...maybe it's a mini or it is stunted by its pot and my lack of care Shrug!
It usually gets two flushes of bloom in the spring before the heat hits and then one in the fall, then blooms sporadically over the winter. Cool nights is supposedly what helps it bloom.
Wonderfully fragrant! And a pretty darn resilient plant, too; good choice Thumbs up

If I could only keep one, it would probably be my Brazillian Rain Tree (Pithecellobium tortum). I love the spines, and the way the leaves fold up at night.

I took a few this morning, I can take one of it 'sleeping' tonight.

I love how dense the leaves are from the sun's perspective.
