I didn't plant many hosta this year. I couldn't resist Hostas Direct's last call for the season. I purchased 6. I will get them planted this week and give them some protection. I usually do not provide my hosta any protection. It has frozen at my house, but has not frozen just a few miles away.

Gary,

Which hostas did you get? I just put 4 in last week!

That Seducer looks very cool! One Last Dance is a really great one! Purple Heart looks very interesting. I put in: Gravity Rocks, Holar Purple Flash (looks very similar to Purple Heart), Aquamarine, Flamingo Mouse.

Are you planning to provide more winter protection than you usually would? I considered Aquamarine. I will have to check out Gravity Rocks and Flamingo Mouse.

Usually get enough of a leaf mulch that seems to work out well, thinking it will take a few years to get the Aquamarine to look like the description.

You both ordered some nice ones. I was going to order Purple Flash but wanted to see if they are really showing that kind of color. Gravity Rocks is on the want list. Aquamarine I bought a month or so ago.

I took a walk yesterday with my camera to see what was going on in my backyard. Most are looking pretty tired. I did find a pretty one named Ivory Queen that's worth showing you!

Firn Line and Catherine still look good, too!

I want to cry. I remember how I could walk around before I moved to deer country. Last week they ate the last of the hostas they missed. I have to do a better job protecting next yr.
