Here is what I have accomplished so far...............

I'm using a 4x4 foot pallet. Last night I put wire "mesh" around the inside to help support the landscape cloth and soil when I get it filled. Today I'll get the lattice, mix the potting medium, put it in and put landscape cloth over top of the medium before attaching the lattice.

I'm posting the photos separately, as my computer doesn't like me to add more than 1 to a post.

Progress today was putting the potting medium in, covering it with some more landscape cloth, stapling it down, and putting the lattice on. So, I guess, it is ready for plants. Hopefully tomorrow I can go plant shopping.

Anna, you should take pics of your steps, and post later for those wanting to try it or something similar.

Oh, jeez, there are probably more out there that have made them and done a much better job.

Ran out of plants.........grrrr............so called my mom and asked her to go get 4-4 packs of what I needed. Of what, you ask??? Bwahahahaha..........not gonna tell, just that they are white. Green Grin! I was short 13. I knew I was going to be short of something, but since I had no real design in mind, just colors, I bought what I thought I needed. Well, 2 out of 3 for correct quantities isn't bad. LOL

Now I have cased out that smaller pallet and told SU that if he'd cut it in half I'd make a succulent planter out of it.........his only comment was "ya, but then you will mess up the lattice you have left and it will be wasted". Cripes...............

And the finished product. Now.....for a first attempt I don't think it looks too bad. And remember, the plants are small but the plan is for them to grow and fill most of it in. Green Grin!
