Anna, how is your project going? Have you put together a tutorial yet in the Garden Ideas forum?

It's looking pretty good. Starting to fill in some, from what I can see.

No, I haven't done a tutorial. I said I didn't know if I should, since there are many out there that are much better at this stuff than I am. I am one of those that looks at the supplies at hand, and go off on a wild hare with big ideas. LOL

Is it vertical yet, or are you going to give the plants time to get established? Looks really nice! If it works out well for you, you really should do a tutorial!

I have the 2nd vertical planter ready to plant tomorrow...........this one will be succulents. Hens and chix and a couple different sedum.

We propped the first on up along the side of the house that faces the road. Hope people actually LOOK and see it. The alyssum are filling in nicely, except for a couple of the plants, but I think they will come along. I will try and get a pic of it in the morning before the sun hits it and the pic gets washed out.

So once vertical how do you water?? Guess the cloth keeps the dirt from falling out?? Have seen the adds on TV where Home Depot shows a vertical planter and I always ask myself "How do they do that? and water keeping the dirt in?"
