Thread OP

I am new to the forum, and River Bend Gardens is my patch of dirt where I tend my plants and enjoy nature near Ann Arbor Michigan.

I am studying greenhouses/conservatories in anticipation of treating myself to a structure where I can expand my ability to garden the property. I have looked at Hartley Botanic, Conley's, Jaderloon, and Rough Bothers.

Is there a brand that the experienced person would say is head & shoulders above the rest?

I've never looked at any of those but I used to have a small Juliana greenhouse years and years ago and it was very nice.

I would recommend you look at Growing Domes also. https://geodesic-greenhouse-ki...
I don't own one, but hope to at some point in my life. (Right now I own a Mt. Rainier from Sunshine Gardenhouse.)
One of our members @plantmanager owns a Growing Dome and will probably chime in on this thread. :smily:

Welcome! I really love my Growing Dome. Mine is the smallest size, just 15' in diameter and I really pack it full. I would definitely recommend the brand, but get a larger one if you can. The 22 ft is nice, and I saw a 44' one that was spectacular. Ours has been in use for over 3 years now, with no problems at all. We heat it to 60F and it hasn't added much to our electric bills. If you can use propane it's even cheaper to use.

I just built a greenhouse with a sturdi-built kit and would highly recommend them.
They will customize to your specs if needed.
They are built from cedar as well and offer a great energy saving option which consists of an inner lexan layer to give you an insulating air space between the lexan and GLASS walls.
Yes, nothing like having a clear glass wall on your greenhouse.
I did go with the plastic dual wall roof and an additional inside layer to create two insulating air pockets.
