I checked my email today and found the ATP Newsletter.

Was puzzled by the odd type in Larry's great article. When I click on the link the type is normal. What is causing this to show this way in the email?

I just checked my newsletter, Lynn, and it isn't showing up that way for me.
Mine shows just like the rest of them, normal.

Maybe Dave will know.

What are you using, Firefox?? What?

Two questions:

1) If you view it here: http://garden.org/newsletter/v... does it exhibit the same problem?

2) What mail program are you using to read the newsletter when it arrives in your inbox?

My email is Thunderbird, where the print is goofy. On Firefox it is not goofy.

I'll check it in Trish's email (she uses Thunderbird)

It look good on your link Dave. I use FF as my browser and hotmail for my email.

It is just that one article that is showing goofy lettering.

I use Outlook and mine looked goofy too.

I had to go back and find it again. We've had a storm here and I had turned the computers off. This is what I saw when I opened it this morning:

Check the character encoding in your "View" pull-down menu. I use Unicode because I work in the Cyrillic and Roman alphabets, and I often see weird little glitches like that one. When I re-set the encoding to Western, they disappear.

Never mind. Resetting it didn't work this time.

I didn't think anything of it until I read this thread late this evening and remembered seeing the same thing this morning. I'm sure it was just a glitch!
