TT, Congratulations on your new bargains! 👍
Your new 3 Bromeliads in photo with the green leaf and white margin along leaf edge looks to be Billbergia pyramidalis 'Kyoto'. Flowering and pupping will aid in positive ID.
Brrr Alice. It was 48F here at dawn the past two mornings, the wind yesterday was crazy. Looks like some days ahead though.
Nice finds TT, I thought the three larger plants were B. pyramidalis, Scott has confirmed it.
When I googled Kyoto, it took me to NGA page for info. I saw Scott's pics
This is a great reference, especially from people with personal experience with the plants!
I put towels over new broms with the morning temps in 40s. Now they're saying we may reach 80 this week!
Thanks for the thumbs ups and the acorn! I need to work on my larger bromeliads in pots to trim them after the Feb freeze!
I have also seen new growth!
