Hey there - somebody brought me this little plant, just pulled out of the ground, last fall. It has a tap root like a queen anne’s lace or carrot. Can anyone tell me it’s real name?

It may be Torilis arvensis, or Field Hedge Parsley http://uswildflowers.com/detail.php?SName=Torilis%20arvensis

Well, that is very close, but the foliage is really dark on the one I have (almost black), so I don't think it's a match.
Gave me a good starting point to hunt it down, though!

Oh, wow! Its foliage is beautiful!

I'm glad you found it, and I'm glad you gave a report on its identity. Now, I have another to add to my wishlist. Hilarious! Big Grin

That would be great!

I'm always game to try a *new* seed, and I have some to trade. Hurray!

Thanks!
