Random info for you all... Smiling

The Salvia coccinea "Tall Form" (red flowers, 5+ feet tall) that Alana traded a few years ago is also called 'Yucatan' and is listed as such in the database. (Alana got the seeds she grew from me originally so I know it's the same.) Robin Middleton sold it with the name of "Tall Form" while Rolando Uria sold it as "Yucatan" for its place of origin.

I think the swap that gets posted first gets the people that plan on doing just one swap in a season.

I had sent out an email to all of last year's players and several were just doing the one swap and said they had joined the first one posted.

I think we"ll still have a nice swap with 25+ players.

It was a very strange year for me as well. It was hot hot hot and no rain for a long while so some seeds didn't get saved. They just didn't look like good viable seed.

I've received an email stating that the multiplier for the swap may be too low. I'd be more than happy to up the multilier if that's what the majority would like to do.

Please post and let know what your opinion is... Smiling

We had heat and rain and then more rain in the fall so I missed a lot of seed gathering. I guess next year the NFTSR swap will have to be first Whistling I'm still very happy with what I got last night nodding

I feel bad because I did not have very much this year. My seed order for this swap is on backorder and I don't have much hope of it arriving this month, even. If it does come before time to mail I will post a list and let everyone pick something.

Also, I did not have time to plant much and maintained less. We had twenty extra inches of rain this year and some plants that need good drainage drowned. I missed most of what I wanted to harvest, too. That's the way it goes sometimes, I guess.

Next year will be better. Crossing Fingers!

I'm not a numbers person, but I have more kinds of 2018 basic garden vegetables and different hibiscus seeds I can list tonight and tomorrow night to up the offerings a little if you decide to do that.

(I put some in last night, but ran out of pill pouches around midnight. I'll see if the nearest tiny Walmart has restocked - there's never more than 2 bags of pouches stocked at once, and usually it's none. Glare )

I'd love the multiplier to got up.

Don't forget my shameless plug about the items that were added yesterday. There may be more. I haven't looked since then.

I also would like to increase the multiplier. With only 25+ players and 20 pages of offerings and more being added, it looks like plenty of seeds for only 5 more nights of dibbing. With more dibs in circulation, more would be able to join in the fun.

The data nerd in me is coming out. Scroll past if you are like most people and bored by algebra.

At the current rate of 3 tickets per night, assuming everyone only uses those (so no extra tickets for selling), we'd use 1575 tickets (each person would get 63 selections).
Factoring in the extra tickets, we should use a little over 2000 tickets.

Bump the number to add 5 each night, we'll use just over 3000 tickets.

There are currently 101 pages of items with 20 (I think per page). Assuming a quarter have more than one packet available, that's around 2600 packets available. So if you bump the ticket count, I'd make sure you don't bump it too far, just in case we run out of things to dib on.

I just added a few packs of seed. One is a small pack of Cuphea schumannii. These were collected in 2015, but I sowed these this year and had 100% germination using the baggie method. So cute and hummingbirds love them!
