I still have a few to do. I put my coleus in nursery pots until they get going a little more. I should be able to do them this weekend.
I actually had one of my geraniums make it through winter. Really surprised me. The other one bit the dust and went to geranium heaven.

I am finding Applespice coleus is having a terrible time getting started. The plants from the nursery have been going backwards since I planted them 2 weeks ago.

Two of my new ones that I have gotten this year, Salvia iodantha and Salvia subrotunda are doing near death episodes and surprisingly comes back again just as it was about to go kaput..am getting so confused what it wants! Confused Confused On the good side, ladybugs seem at home with them, seing the pupa and they are the hosts for these beneficial bugs.

All three of mine from Rosy Dawn are already noticeably growing. In-spite of the cold, wind and rain. They are sitting on the covered deck for now.

I'll give Appleslice another week to come around. Its always a gamble with new intros. Some just want hotter temps than we have here in May.

Nope, I am in San Joaquin county in Cali..it has gone 10 degrees cooler today, sunny but very very windy, actually been terrible windy the whole week here, anticipating maybe some showers, but the mountains heading to the Lake Tahoe area are already having some snow. I thought with this late storm coming from the North, it may pass over your area before heading down here.

It surely did pass through here. With wind, rain and an occasional thunder storm. But the temperature here never went below the low 40's at night.
The sun is out today, it is so beautiful outside. : )

Oh that is good! At least you can now really proceed with your container gardening Big Grin I am really almost done, just trying to see now which ones I may have to put in a shadier side once the summer heat returns...so far my Spider lilies are up and about, very thirsty, but blooming well..now that I see how thirsty these are, I realized ooops, my amaryllis must be really thirsty too so I am giving them daily waterings. Big Grin

Really loving this plant, will plant more of these next year Lovey dubby

It is beautiful tarev. Just came in for some water and then back out. Planted the new arrival semps and delosperma.
Now I need to get that fuchsia basket done.
The new tender succulents are ready to go into permanent pots now, just have to match them up.

Do any of you grow Caladiums? I have some ~3" deep trays and am wondering if I put pots in those, sort of a bog, if the Caladiums will take more sun? Do they loose color in more sun? First year year trying them.

I would hesitate to put caladiums in water. They take average soil here.I have them in the garden as well as in planters on the deck. Some dont like sun. Be sure to check to see if your varieties do.

I don't grow Caladiums..but they sure are very pretty! But as far as I know, it loves average moist soil, not too soggy, loves humid temps...part shade....oh If I have more space and better temps in winter..it would surely join my garden Big Grin
