No worries Kathy! You've been a great help with all my orchids! About Cyms, do they get as many bugs as I've read? Everywhere I read talks all about them getting infested with spidermites, I try to steer clear of buggy plants. Or is it one of those situations where if you care for the plant properly it wont get bugs? I'll be sure to ask the seller, thanks for pointing that out!

I am very excited about getting more Orchids, I have a number of spots just waiting empty Big Grin

I'm a bit worried about the Thunia I bought last fall, it goes dormant for the winter and is supposed to break dormancy Feb/Mar but so far nothing...... Blinking The cane is still green so thats a good sign. I'm hoping its just a little late since the plant room is on the cool side. Its not supposed to have any water at all until new growth shows but so far nothing....and the cane is looking less green...or maybe its my imagination.

I have never had any experience with them. Here's what I found which you already know. http://www.clanorchids.com/ezi...
I have never had problems with bugs on my cyms. (knocking on wood).

Thanks for the link, I guess it means I just need to be patient a bit longer.
I'll see if I can find any mini Cyms, I would love Lovey dubby a larger one but just don't have the room right now so I'll have to stay with a mini if I can find one.

Here is a so called teacup Cymbidium, very cute!

That is a wonderful source for the teacups!! Unfortunately the shipping costs are high. So when I buy from them (about every 2 years), I buy a bunch!
Here are some small cyms I have. I have decided this one is Cym Sweetheart 'Spring Pearl' but I'm not 100% sure. This is from today.

Here is a Chinese cym I bought in spike. And more of them in small pots. These are hard to bloom but I seem to be getting the hang of it (cym. lianpan, goeringii, ensifolium, sinense).Thumb of 2011-03-24/boojum/d777b7 Thumb of 2011-03-24/boojum/13cd9d

Thanks for the link Ursula, I really like that one with the red markings! Stunning!

Kathy, your Cyms look fantastic! And congrats on the Chinese ones, I love how you have them in the ceramic pots to complete the oriental look. How old is the lovely green Cym in the first picture?

Probably 3 years since I got it. It's always had lots of foliage but this is the first year to have more than one spike.

I'm pretty happy right now as I think I've finally found the ID of one of my Phals, which is looking like it might be a Doritaenopsis (sp?) http://www.flickr.com/photos/t...

Probably not on orchids. He already has one book out.
And he's been churning out articles on Dave's Garden. http://bit.ly/eV5Aak
Here's his first book. I wonder if he's ears are burning. http://amzn.to/hDeFuB
