I put my order in for Gleam of Gold. Hopefully, she will be adding more selections later in the season. A few others have intrigued me but I have to be very selective at this point.

Interesting fact. Within about 2 hours of your post, Gleam of Gold was "sold out." They are advertising Lois' Choice in a new email, but it isn't in the catalogue.

Sorry to hear that Gary, it will return again. She has offered it in the past and continues to reappear. As for LC, it may show up later in the season. That's another one that continues to reappear. She usually updates the site several times and will add new ones occasionally. You have to watch the site because some she has limited quantities of the rare ones.

Lois' Choice along with a few others have been added to Brooks Gardens' catalog today.

Looks like it worked! Some really good prices on quite a few Itohs. Quitzen for less than $100 for 3/5 eyes, wonderful price. Also see Eventide on there, it's beautiful so get it if you order anything else! It's only around $10, much less than what you'd pay if you find it here in the states. Do remember that shipping/phyto adds around $5/root, though.

Do you know the name of the person that orders bulk and then mails out the roots when they get here? How does it work?

I have not got an email yet, went to the site - it has technical upgrade, that;s OK, I am not in a hurry Some peonies have very good prices, just we need to keep in mind ~$5 per root for shipping, ~$11 import duty (does it depend on root quantity?) and some charge for currency exchange. Still it can be very cheap, like for Quitzin, I was very to get its root last fall. it was even not dry at all!

Les Jardin Osiris in Quebec is now taking orders! Their selection is smaller than usual but a few new items. I have always been pleased with their roots and the selection. To me, it has definitely been worth that little extra for what they deliver.
Hopefully our Canadian friends like Alex, Caroline and others may also be interested in this Nursery.

Questions for you Craig: Do you know if the prices on the website are in US $ or Canadian $? Is there a phytosanitary fee? When do they charge the credit card for the purchase?

Karen, I ordered from them last year and was very pleased with the roots they sent.
Their prices are in Canadian dollars. There is a phyto fee. They do not charge your credit card until they are about to ship your order, but last year they outed me on two peonies I wanted.

Why don't you wait until Solaris posts their catalog on January 1 and see if they offer Kamata Nishiki?

Karen, yes the Canadian dollar usually is favor of the US exchange rates. They most likely need the weight of the package so it will be a one time charge in September.
I bought a tree from them this year and it was a very mature one and it was a beauty.

Thanks LG and Craig! I don't think Solaris Farms ever offers Kamata Nishiki for sale since I follow its website back 2013 to now. They may not have it. Is there a reason you think Solaris Farms has it, LG? Did you see a pic of it on their farm?

I haven't seen Solaris offer it, Karen, but they have so many that I was hoping they might.
