MY sole spring ordered root is Edens Perfume . IT is coming from Lindenberg seeds in Manitoba. PEonies are not their specialty , but I know their seeds are good.

Does anyone know where I could order Etched Salmon peony in Canada? Also those of you that have it is it really as beautiful as it looks on pictures posted all over the net?

Les Jardins Osiris has Etched Salmon. I may have some very tiny divisions as I divided one last year, but will know for sure later in the season how they survived the winter. The flowers are outstanding, but so far I was not impressed with bush as it was somewhat leggy for me. I did not have it for a long time and it may change in 2-3 years, so others may have different experience.

Thank you Alex. It is disappointing to hear that the plant is on the leggy side but I think I would still like to get it. I was bitten by a peony bug last year and have planted 27 bushes since, mostly Itho's.

I got them at my local garden centers here in Edmonton at the end of the season for 50% off or more. I also bought 4 tree peonies at Lowes. Can't wait to see how they all do this year.

In addition to Osiris that Alex mentioned above, Blossom Hill Nursery also has Etched Salmon in their catalogue this year. Etched Salmon is one of my favourite varieties. It never fails to produce perfectly formed flowers, even in younger plants. Plant habit is good in my growing conditions, but the stems are straight as a pole and the foliage isn't very broad-leafed, so I can understand how it might be described as leggy.

If you are interested in seeing it in person, it is one of the ~75 varieties I grow in the suburbs about 5 minutes east of West Edmonton Mall. I have had to relocate my peonies recently, but this is it's second growing season since I've moved it and it will most likely have some flowers this year. I would be happy to have you take a look. Let me know!
