I have two of these. Called 'Faustino's Giant', they are the world's largest cordate leaved anthurium. These are 11-12 years old and now have leaves that measure 18-20" across x 24-30" long. They are pretty slow growing. In nature they are semi-lithophytes and grow rooted to limestone. I need to start supporting the trunks of mine so they will climb more upright. But I am trying to figure out the best way. I can get some limestone slabs. I figured I might just stack them behind the plants and tie with a totem and keep piling up rocks as they grow. One is in a 35 gallon container, one is in the ground. Any ideas for me?

Did it! Found some medium sized rocks and made an open cairn. Supports the Anthurium well, hopefully it will attach roots to it as it grows. I can always add more rocks or neat wood. Added in some bromeliads, the other plants were already there

That looks great, Gina, and I'm sure it will root around the rocks. I drool over your huge greenhouse! Mine is so tiny that it's jammed full all the time.

Its weird this photo doesn't show everything that is actually in the real photograph. I think it crops stuff automatically to stay within some limit. It really does look pretty cool in person, lol. I have two of these monsters, this is the smaller of the 2. The other is in a 35 gallon container. Thank you for your kind words about my growing space, I am trying to bring it back to its former glory

It must be wonderful to have all that space! Just keep at it slowly but surely and you'll have it back to looking super. When that happens, please post a thread showing lots of photos!
