Where were you sitting to get this clear of shot
and what lens or zoom did you use if I may ask to learn?

Here is my hawk shot through a closed window with a 30 optical zoom..
using auto focus...This hawk was about 45 foot from me sitting in the house

Sherri, those are beautiful shots of that hawk ... and through a closed window! Lovey dubby

Red-shouldered Hawks are quite common here; for that photo, I was in my backyard and the Hawk was in a neighbors backyard tree so I just zoomed in as far as I could and took the shot. I don't know a thing about photography so I'm just lucky when I get a decent picture. My camera is a Canon PowerShot SX60HS with a fixed lens.
