Karen love this photo of your Echinopsis 'Fire Chief'. How old is this plant?
I never though about growing something like this in a pot and hanging it. Wonder if it would survive my winters if kept dry under the deck roof?

Thanks, it was about 10 years old then. It would love it out outside during your summers, but it might not like the cold of winter. How cold do you get? I try to not leave any of them out if it goes below about 45 degrees. I have frozen this one a few times by accidentally leaving it outside.

Wow, I am afraid of cactus but yours look so beautiful! I love its flowers. How big is the flower? I reminds me of a waterlily.

The spines on that cacti aren't bad at all. I can touch the hanging pieces and not get stuck. The flowers are usually about 2 inches across but one year they were 3 inches across. It seems to like more water than most cacti. I've never fed it. I wonder if that would make it even better?

Not sure how it could be better than your photo shows it. I don't think they would like to much in the way of nutrients when your think about the conditions of their natural habitat.

Welcome! @svendhoest. I had no idea it could take low temps like that! Lynn, it should be fine under your patio roof if that's the case.
