Very much likes to tease, especially his Nana.

I enjoyed this memory in the making story. Ethan is a delightful child in every way, and to have the innocent insight at age 3 that you would need him in your time of loss is too precious for words. I believe your relationship with him will be as wonderful as he grows older as it is now - once a kindred spirit, always a kindred spirt.

It's been interesting, our relationship. He's my only grandchild so I didn't really know how to be a grandmother. It's like he set the pace from the beginning and our relationship evolved into a very close bonded friendship instead of child/adult. My son says he's a little different here, he never argues, never has a cross word. Hard to explain, but when I notice my friends with their grandchildren, I can see the difference. It's an easy relationship we have.

On Saturday evening he said he wanted to go outside for awhile and I told him it was drizzling rain and it wasn't a good time. He said, "Nana, let's talk about this. A little rain never hurt anybody."

We didn't go outside, but we did talk about it.
I think that was about the time he decided he couldn't live another minute without bacon.

More than you wanted to know, but I am so blessed to have this child in my life.

My Grandmother and I were best buds. I didn't know it at the time though, just thought it was normal. I betcha it might be the same with Ethan and you.

If you remember, Shoe, I don't eat meat.
But I always keep bacon handy for Ethan.

So yes, it's just like that.

One time a neighbor said to him: "You have a good time when you visit your grandma, don't you?"

Ethan said, "This is my Nana, she isn't my grandma. Grandma lives in Indiana but she's just my baby sitter."

We spent a little time talking about that, family ties.
