I started growing this plant 3 or 4 years ago, can't remember for sure. I started the plants from seed and it was very easy to start. It got a little bit taller than in the description, around 2 feet and I grew it in both full sun, where it did the best, and afternoon shade. It is a lovely accent plant although this year, with the cooler summer, it took a very long time to take off and bloom and had just started blooming well right before frost.
