Yes, they made outrageous claims of miracles on the old label, and that has changed. I think a few people began to question its effects, and some research showed that the formula didn't have anything in it that aided plants except a growth hormone that is now banned in at least 20 states. So even the old formula was not great despite its fabulous claims on the label, except possibly for transplanting and root stimulation.
Safe to say "save your money", Brenda. It was a fad at best, and has fallen out of favor. Plus it's ghastly expensive!
