The seeds look like Datura seeds, not brug seeds. Plus, there are currently no purple brugs in existence that I know of. They are often confused with each other. As far as your seeds go, 5 years is a bit long, but stranger things have happened. Give it a shot. Soak them for 24 hours or so, then plant them in a well draining soilless mix, and see what happens.
