Nice progress Annette! Hopefully the critters will leave Ruby Giant alone- they're a tommasinianus and should be less attractive to the squirrels. That tulip combo will be stunning with your Kwanzan cherries! The staggered bloom times will ensure seeing that echo of pink together. In fall of 2014 I planted a Kwanzan cherry in the pink bed where several of the pink tulips and white daffodils have been planted this fall. The tree had a few blooms this spring, looking forward to some similar echos!
Yesterday afternoon I extended a bed and planted the 10 eremurus 'Spring Valley hybrids', the last of the 50% off bulbs are snugly planted and got watered in last night when it rained. Ah, I'm so glad I ignored the forecast and hurried to get those bulbs planted! It makes my present muscular soreness seem worthwhile
