I'm a proud card carrying "crazy cat lady". ;-) When we bought our last house, an outdoor cat came with hit. The owner said that if we didn't take him, she'd take him to a friend's house & turn him loose on her property in the hills!!!! Needless to say, we adopted him, convinced him that he wouldn't die if he came inside, and he became my shadow in his old age. One of my current cats is a semi-feral that I brought home from my office. She appeared one day at the food bowl, where I fed the other feral office cat. When I had her TNR'd, they discover that this poor emaciated kitty was recovering from a broken leg! So, as soon as I got her comfortable with being touched, I brought her home - the only kitten I've had in almost 20 years, because I always rescue older cats, because they're harder to place with adopters.
