Thank you for your encouragement. I've decided to let the bed be, but still care for it through Spring. I did notice my parsnips appeared this week!
And, I might be seeing the signs of my carrots as well!
So, with that, I am hopeful that some of the seed is just lying dormant until proper conditions arrive. I really don't expect them all to sprout, but I'm not ruling them out yet either. Time will certainly tell!
With the holidays upon us and two new grand daughters this year, I don't think I'll be doing much before February - and I'm good with that. My biggest concern was whether to abandon the garden until Februrary or care for it. In the end, I'm going to tend to it just in case it springs to life. Although, I may plant some arrow pea between the lettuce rows...
