Talking about rain and forecast, I remember a fine quote by Ralph Harris. Forecast: A pretence of knowing what would have happened if what does happen hadn't.
If you carry an umbrella fearing it would rain, it wont. If you leave back the umbrella and think it wont rain, it will! If you sweep up the leaves fearing rain would make them wet, it wont rain. If you leave them there thinking it wont rain, it will rain! That's the beauty! Most of us have experienced this, haven't we?
